ctcLink Back to the Future -5 days

CtcLink will bring many changes to the way employees enter time and leave on their timesheets, and to the way supervisors review and approve timesheets and leave requests. With the first November pay period ending just shortly after we go live, everyone will need to learn how to do these tasks right away! Here’s how you can be prepared:

  1. If you haven’t already, please complete the Employee Self-Service and, if applicable, Manager Self-Service course(s) in Canvas.
  2. Review the step-by-step how-to guides for how to enter time, how to request absences, how to request overtime, and many other important tasks on the ctcLink HCM Intranet page.
  3. Enter your time using these directions as soon as you have access to ctcLink. This will leave enough time to answer questions and resolve problems before timesheets are due, and will also ensure that the Help Desk and HR staff are available to help you. Here are the key dates:

Nov. 8 and 9 – SMEs and managers with UAT access can activate their ctcLink accounts and begin entering and approving time for the Nov. 1-15 pay period. Managers will need to review and make any necessary changes to their employees’ work schedules during this time – please see the How-To Guide for Assigning Employee Work Schedules. HR will be available via Zoom to help managers from 9 am – 3 pm on Nov. 8 and 9. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88291713054

Nov. 12 – Classified staff can activate their ctcLink accounts and begin entering and approving time for the Nov. 1-15 pay period.

Nov. 16 – Faculty can activate their ctcLink accounts. NOTE: Faculty do NOT need to enter time unless they had an absence (sick leave, vacation, personal leave, etc.) during the Nov. 1-15 pay period.

Friday, Nov. 12 – 9 am – 5 pm (open to all employees; dedicated time for ELC employees from 9-11 am)

Monday, Nov. 15 – 9 am – 5 pm (open to all employees; dedicated time for Facilities employees from 9-10 am and for supervisors/managers from 11 am – 1 pm)

Tuesday, Nov. 16 – 9 am – 5 pm (open to all employees; dedicated time for supervisors/managers from 11 am – 1 pm)

Wed. Nov. 17 and Thurs. Nov. 18 – 11 am – 1 pm (dedicated time for faculty)

We are phasing in activation across campus. Phased activation will allow IT, HR, and Faculty Liaisons to be available to help each group as they activate.  We appreciate your patience as we all learn this new system!
